Cuestas.PPQ’s IP area handles matters involving the protection and defense of our client’s intangible property, including patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, slogans, trade names, copyrights, industrial secrets, and other related rights. The Firm also provides counseling in software counseling and technology-related contracts, including source code and object code purchases.

Our services include preparing and filing all types of applications for protecting intellectual property rights, as well as follow-up in monitoring of applications during any prosecution period until the protection is perfected. Once we obtain that protection, we assist the client with monitoring and maintenance services for preserving and, where appropriate, extending intellectual property protection.

If a client requires assistance in an IP dispute, we can handle the preparation and prosecution of an infringement action or file a petition to have the court declare an injunction against the infringing products.

The client may rely upon our experience in handling IP claims before administrative courts, as well as constitutional writs of amparo review.

Our IP group includes lawyers who are members of IP professional associations, including, the International Trademark Association (INTA).
